Anti Gay Bullying Must Stop

Suicide.

One simple word that means so much. Everyday someone is being tormented because they are attracted to the same sex. Something so simple, so personal, is taken so out of proportion for absolutely no reason. It is no ones business who you have a physical or emotional relationship with.

Gay bashing is at it's worst at school. Kids spent most of there time there so they often find out more about the students then their own parents do. There are kids that are afraid to go to school because they don't know what will happen to them. There are some sick people out there that will do anything. People are being driven to the edge by these pathetic bullies. No one seems to notice it until it's too late, until the victim takes his life.

It's ridiculous that some believe that it is okay for women to be lesbians but not for men to be gay. In fact, it is encouraged for women to make out in front of people but the mere sight of seeing men holding hands and everyone freaks out. Whoever they choose to care for does not change the fact that they have feelings, that they are still people. They still feel pain like everybody else.

It's easy to make jokes and laugh at gay people. It's easy to ignore that you are making someone feel completely horrible about themselves. It's easy to make them feel as though they are the wrong ones. But is it just as easy to know that you are responsible for that person's death?

Homophobia is just another reason we as people are always fighting. It is impossible to please everyone and people shouldn't have to try to be something they are not just to be excepted. Gay bashers don't realize, or care, that they are hurting not just the person they are tormenting but their loved ones as well. There are mothers losing sons because of who he is attracted to. They shouldn't be forced to lose the one they care for, especially for something like that.

It isn't hard to hide your emotions from people. it isn't really anybody's fault but you often get caught up with your own lives. It is very easy to be brought down by the negativity that is constantly surrounding you and it doesn't help to have people that intentionally go out of their way to hurt you. More and more people are taking their lives to get rid of the torture they recieve on a day to day basis. Their methods vary but it all ends up with the same result; premature death that could have been avoided, that should have been avoided.
